A short prayer is not a lesser prayer. It is usually a truer one.

Jesus told a story about two men praying. One gave a speech about himself. The other said God, have mercy on me, a sinner and went home right with God. Matthew 6 is blunter still: do not babble. You are not heard because of many words.
